As many of you know, yesterday I made the trip from St Louis to Minneapolis. For the time being I am calling this trip the great trek north, yes that is where the title came from. Well there isn’t really much to share about the trip. I made it in 8 hours and about 30 minutes. Stopped twice to fuel up and a third time to empty my bladder full of coffee. The reason for coming to the northern land, is that tomorrow I shall be starting a new job. Well not a new job, but with a new company. The details are classified. So much so, that I don’t know any of them. But what I am looking forward to is working again. Well it is time to recharge myself. Good Night
Day 2
12 11 2009I liked blogging so much yesterday that I thought I would blog again today. Well today was Thursday, so you know what that means… basketball at the Y and then The Office at the Barnard’s.
This Thursday it was one without the other. Basketball went well. It was the playoffs at the Y tonight. We had one of the better records through the regular season so that earned us a trip to the playoffs. Well we lost, but only by 8 I think. We lost to the eventual champs, who went on to win the “ship” by 12 I think. Basketball has been a lot of fun for me, and I think for our team as well. We are starting to get the hang of it, so here is your warning. Look out for us, we are coming.
It was sad not to hang out at the Barnard’s afterwords. But Alisha was not feeling well, I ask that you all can continue to keep her in your prayers. I think all of you reading this usually pray for her anyways. I don’t have many readers. Thanks Jim.
So that was my day. I must finish this great Bud Light Wheat, and hit the hay. I’m still looking for ideas to jazz up the blog here. Thanks all.

Wow
11 11 2009All I can say is wow. It has been way to long since I have blogged. For some reason I have a hard time with sharing my life through this blog. But here I am attempting to make it right.
Much has happened since I last blogged, and I won’t torture you with a long drawn out update. Cause if your reading this than you actually know whats been happening in my life, cause we talk. Right? Well maybe not.
So we will start with a look to the future. I’ll be back to work soon! Praise God! I start work back in Minnesota on the 16th with a company that I have worked for in the past. It is Donovan Construction, check out the link. Im not sure what type of work I will be doing or how long I will be gone. But it is work, and unfortunately money makes the world turn. I think the two most exciting things associated with this opportunity is that I will be able to stay with my dad, and hopefully work with a good friend of mine. I know some of you have not meet my dad, and hopefully when we move in the next couple weeks you will have the chance to meet him.
That brings me to the move. Steph and I have decided to move closer to the city. We are very excited for the move, but have some time to wait as well as we don’t know exactly when we can move into the apartment. I will keep you updated.
I would like to share a personal thought with all of you. When I return to work next week im pretty sure that it will have been 6.5 months since I last had a full-time job. I don’t intend to tell a “poor jere” story, actually its the opposite. Having a lot of time on my hands has given me the opportunity to do a lot of self-reflection, and time to spend reading the bible. Four years ago I committed my life to Christ, but never took the time to read the word. In the time off I have been able to read the bible front to back. I don’t want a pat on the back, I just want to share with you how blessed I feel that I am. Blessed to have you reading this in my life, blessed to have time off to grow in my faith, blessed to be a son of God. Blessed.
So here’s the final thought. I stated before how it is hard for me to share on this blog. I would like to make this blog something more. I know it will not be as good as Jim’s, but I would like to attempt to. So here’s the deal, I would like ideas on how to make this something you would read daily or to be more real, weekly. Please let me know.

Hump Day
26 08 2009so other than today being Wednesday, which to some is called hump day i really have nothing else to share on that topic.
what i do have to share is something i did stupidly yesterday. so i have this credit card from us bank that i have had since i was 18. well. it was getting a little worn out, from what i dont know cause i dont use it. i tried to use it the other day and the gas station pump couldnt read it. so i email us bank and had them send me out a new one. so i received it in the mail. called the number and activated it. shut the phone and the plan was to shred the old one and the paper the card came with. well not thinking i grabbed the new card, and you guessed it. shredded my brand new credit card. retarded. which is totally something that i would do.
on a better note, sounds like things are getting accomplished with alisha and jim at the hospital. well i mean test have been done and we will wait for the results. luckily i get to go relieve jim tomorrow. im not really sure what that means. but i hope my bright and shinny face can bring some laughs to him.
thats it for the night. and yes i have blogged two days in a row, and world record.

Eleven Days
25 08 2009today i was informed my Jim that it had been eleven days since i had last blogged. so here i am attempting to blog. the problem is, and i explained this to jim, is that i dont live an exciting blog-worthy life. i mean i have the same schedule every day no matter what day it is. this not working thing is getting pretty old, and draining believe it or not.
i guess i can do an update on what is new in the life of Jeremiah… well nothing. most of you reading this know that Alisha has been in the hospital since friday i think. they really have no answers to what is wrong and the direction they are going to go. we just pray for strength for both Jim and Alisha. we love you both.
nothing new on the work front i guess. i am still trying to transfer my apprenticeship to stl from mn. last wednesday mn voted to let me go or not and i have yet to hear the results. i have heard some things in stl are changing and im hoping they will be needing workers. so that has been in my prayers.
unfortunately that is really what is on my heart right now. i know boring and boring. but yeah. i think i might try to blog more often. thats about it.

Our First Anniversary
16 08 2009well well well, one year ago to this day i made a big step and married an amazing woman. im not going to get all sappy and stuff cause thats not me, but i would like to say that this past year was amazing. i look forward for many years to come with my amazing wife.
so being as i am laid off and money is limited, we had to take a simple approach to the celebration. the week was long for both of us, so we took time in the morning to just relax with some coffee. we then drove to downtown stl. visited the old court house, where Dred Scott trial was held. it truelly was a great place of knowledge. we then had some s’bucks, and went to the cards game. i have been to busch stadium twice before, but this was steph’s first time and i feel like she enjoyed herself. i love that place, it is great. for those of you who care, the cards won. i called the Holliday homerun, which adds to my many calls at busch stadium. that place loves me.
so that was our day along with some ice cream when we got home. i would just like to say one more time that i love my wife steph and it really is a blessing being married to my best friend.
Wouldn’t it be cool if…
